TwinLoop is a one-tap arcade game from Standifer Labs. This page covers controls, purchases, Game Center, reminders, local progress, accessibility, and common troubleshooting.

Quick start

Your orb moves automatically around two rings. Tap almost anywhere in the gameplay area to switch between the inner and outer ring. A barrier blocks one ring; move to the other before your orb reaches it.

Time a necessary switch just before a barrier to earn a Perfect Shift. Perfect Shifts fill the Pulse meter. Flux collected during runs unlocks free cosmetic items and can fund level skips or one assisted Continue. Optional fixed-quantity Flux packs are also available, but are never required to play or compete. A cyan shield collectible protects the orb from one otherwise fatal obstacle hit and is then consumed.

The first-launch tutorial demonstrates the control with three scripted barriers and one collectible. You can skip it or replay it later from Settings.

System requirements

Start or restart a run

Tap Play on Home for Endless. Tap the Daily Loop card for the shared UTC challenge. After the first fatal collision in an ordinary run, you can spend 250 Flux to Continue once or choose Finish Run for free. Continue may use Flux earned through play or credited by a Flux pack. It clears the immediate danger and returns through a short protected re-entry, but marks the run assisted: that run cannot set a personal best or submit a leaderboard score. If there is not enough Flux, Finish Run remains available. Backgrounding or locking pauses a continued run. If iOS terminates TwinLoop before that run finishes, the 250 Flux is automatically refunded the next time TwinLoop launches.

After Finish Run or a later fatal collision, Restart is the large primary button on the Results card. A restart normally returns to active gameplay in under one second. TwinLoop never opens an App Store purchase sheet from the collision screen.

There is no energy system, run limit, or required purchase.

Daily Loop

Daily Loop uses the UTC calendar date, so every player receives the same deterministic pattern that day. Attempts are unlimited. The challenge changes at 00:00 UTC. It works offline and saves your best score locally; Game Center submission can retry later when available.

If the displayed day seems unexpected, confirm the device date, time, and time-zone settings are correct. TwinLoop may retain the latest known UTC objective day to avoid awarding a second refresh after a backward clock change.

Daily objectives and level prizes

Five objectives rotate deterministically each UTC day. They cover skills such as playing runs, surviving, earning Perfect Shifts, collecting Flux, clearing barriers, building a multiplier, and improving in Daily Loop. Each completed objective can be claimed once for its displayed XP and Flux reward.

Whenever XP or a level skip advances the player to a new level, TwinLoop presents a congratulations screen with that level’s prizes, including any Flux milestone or cosmetic unlocks. Dismiss the screen to continue; the prizes are already saved when it appears.

Game Center

Game Center is optional. When authenticated, TwinLoop can submit eligible Endless all-time, Daily, and Weekly scores and achievement progress. If Game Center is signed out, restricted, or temporarily unavailable, local gameplay continues and eligible scores wait for retry. Assisted runs that used Continue do not submit a leaderboard score; their local progression remains available.

Use TwinLoop Settings > Game Center Access to open the system Game Center experience. Apple controls the account, nickname, friends, privacy, and parental settings.

Purchases and Restore Purchases

TwinLoop offers four optional non-consumable customization products:

It also offers two consumables:

Every player receives two free one-level skips. After both are used, each additional skip costs 500 Flux. A skip advances local player level and ordinary milestone/cosmetic access only. Flux may also fund one 250-Flux Continue per run. Continue is an assisted option rather than a competitive advantage: continued runs cannot set personal bests or submit leaderboard scores. The displayed price comes from the App Store for your storefront; TwinLoop does not label either Flux pack a discount or “best value.”

Level Skip is located at Home > Progress & Stats. The row shows how many free skips remain or the exact 500-Flux cost, and a confirmation explains the effect before progression changes.

To restore eligible purchases:

  1. Open Home > Customize > Cosmetic Store, or open Settings.
  2. Tap Restore Purchases.
  3. Allow Apple’s App Store service to synchronize.
  4. Return to Customize and select the restored item.

Use the same Apple Account and ensure the App Store is available. Family-shared eligibility is determined by Apple and applies only where the non-consumable product is configured for it. Restore Purchases restores eligible non-consumables; it does not credit a consumed 500-Flux or 1,500-Flux pack again.

TwinLoop credits each verified Flux transaction exactly once. It spends earned Flux before purchased Flux. Reset Progress preserves any remaining purchased Flux and the processed-transaction record, but deleting the app can delete that local balance because version 1 has no TwinLoop account, backend, or cloud save. Apple does not restore consumed currency packs.

If a purchase is pending, approval must finish through Apple before content unlocks. If a refund or revocation occurs, TwinLoop removes the entitlement and safely returns an affected category to its free starter item.

Standifer Labs cannot see payment-card information or directly complete, cancel, or refund an Apple transaction. Use Apple’s purchase history and support channels for billing/refund requests.

Store unavailable

An unavailable message can result from Airplane Mode, service interruption, account restrictions, unfinished App Store agreements in a test environment, or products still being reviewed. The complete free game remains playable.

Try these steps:

  1. Confirm Apple’s services and your network are available.
  2. Confirm purchases are permitted in Screen Time/Content & Privacy Restrictions.
  3. Relaunch TwinLoop and reopen Cosmetic Store.
  4. Tap Restore Purchases if a non-consumable product was bought previously. Do not repurchase a Flux pack to troubleshoot a missing balance; contact support with the product name, approximate date, app version/build, and Apple receipt status instead.
  5. Restart the device if StoreKit remains unavailable across apps.

Do not repeatedly buy an item shown as owned. Consumable Flux packs intentionally remain purchasable, so confirm the quantity and StoreKit sheet before approving each purchase.

Daily Loop reminder

TwinLoop does not ask for notification permission during onboarding. To enable one neutral daily reminder:

  1. Open Settings > Daily Loop Reminder.
  2. Turn it on and approve iOS notification permission.
  3. Choose a reminder time.

The local notification says, “Today’s TwinLoop challenge is ready.” Turning the setting off removes the scheduled reminder. If permission was denied, open the iOS Settings app, find TwinLoop > Notifications, and change the system permission before enabling again.

Sound and haptics

TwinLoop’s background music is built from three synchronized, layered techno loops that adapt during play. Settings > Music turns all background layers on or off; Sound Effects and Haptics have separate toggles. TwinLoop respects device audio interruptions and route changes. Haptics depend on hardware capability. Silent audio or unavailable haptics do not affect gameplay timing.

If audio stops unexpectedly, check the toggles, media volume, output route, and whether another app or call has interrupted audio. Resume TwinLoop after the interruption; the run should remain paused and return with a countdown.

Accessibility

TwinLoop supports VoiceOver throughout non-gameplay navigation, Dynamic Type in menus, large controls, accessible ownership and purchase states, High Contrast, Reduce Motion, and independent haptic/audio settings.

High Contrast strengthens brightness and geometric edge cues. Reduce Motion reduces background rotation, screen shake, and large particle travel while preserving all information needed to play. The timing gameplay remains visually oriented.

Progress and local data

Progress is stored on the device. Version 1 does not include a Standifer Labs account or cloud save. Deleting the app can delete local scores, earned and remaining purchased Flux, processed consumable records, daily objectives, earned free cosmetics, settings, and history. Game Center records and verified non-consumable purchases are managed separately by Apple; consumed Flux packs are not restored.

TwinLoop protects saves with atomic replacement and a previous-valid local backup, but device backups and app deletion remain controlled by iOS.

Reset Progress

Settings > Reset Progress asks for confirmation and explains what will be removed. Reset deletes local gameplay progress, statistics, earned Flux, daily objectives, earned free cosmetics, free-skip use, and preferences. It preserves remaining purchased Flux and processed consumable transaction IDs. Verified non-consumables are not erased and can be restored.

Reset is not reversible through TwinLoop support. If the reset was accidental, do not expect Standifer Labs to have a server copy; version 1 does not receive local saves.

Gameplay troubleshooting

A tap seems ignored

TwinLoop accepts taps across the gameplay field except Pause and uses a brief 70 ms debounce to prevent accidental double taps. Taps during a transition redirect the target from the orb’s current position. Clean the screen, test outside the Pause area, and disable any system touch accommodation that intentionally delays/requires repeated input to compare behavior.

If the issue repeats, note the device model, OS version, app version/build, whether it happened after resume, and the approximate run stage.

A collision seemed unfair

Obstacle collision bodies are smaller than their visual arcs, and the orb’s actual between-ring radius is used during a switch. A very late transition can overlap the blocked radial band even when the target lane is safe. If an event appears unavoidable or visually inconsistent, include the mode, UTC Daily date if applicable, approximate survival time, and a screen recording when safe to capture.

The game resumed into danger

Backgrounding should pause immediately and resume through a clear three-second countdown with the first frame clamped, including after Continue. If iOS terminates a continued run instead, its 250 Flux should return automatically on the next launch. If either behavior fails, report whether the interruption was Home/Lock, a call, Control Center, audio-route change, or app switch and how long TwinLoop was inactive.

Progress did not load

Quit and reopen TwinLoop once. The app attempts its previous-valid local backup if the primary save cannot decode. Avoid uninstalling while investigating because uninstalling can remove both files. Include the app version/build and what progress was last visible; never send private device identifiers.

Privacy

TwinLoop keeps gameplay progress on-device and has no advertising or third-party analytics SDK. Optional Apple services handle Game Center and purchases. Manual score/report sharing occurs only through your chosen share destination.
